Revelation 7:10
Salvation belongs to our God, who sits upon the throne. and unto the Lamb!
There is a sweet simplicity in salvation because all we need to do is believe that God did send
His Son Jesus Christ to pay for our mistakes, our sins. He paid that by dying on the cross, but He did something amazing: He rose from the dead and defeated its grip on us. Now, we have the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of salvation, eternal life with our Lord and Savior.
John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
Our salvation is guaranteed. God does not say we have salvation one minute and then tear it away from us as soon as we make a mistake. He forgives us and as we repent and walk steadfastly with Him. We eagerly anticipate His promised salvation.
Psalm 95:1
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.
It would be silly to not include John 3:16 as part of this topic because it so accurately sums up the Gospel. The use of the word "perish" is a striking juxtaposition to "eternal life". If we put our trust and belief in Jesus Christ, "perish" is taken out of the equation. Zip. Zilch. Nada. What we can earnestly look forward to is our eternity in heaven, salvation which brings us to our King when we have left this earth.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Another amazing promise about salvation is that God has made His salvation known. The way God has created this world points straight to Him. Creation itself cannot deny that it has a King. God is NOT hiding His amazing gift of salvation. Check out these verses:
Psalm 98:2-3
The Lord has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in sight of the nations. He has remembered His steadfast love and faithfulness to the House of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
